Maria graduated from Washington and Lee High School in 2013. Maria attended the University of Lynchburg where she earned a Bachelors' of Science in Health Promotion Sciences and a Masters' in Public Health. Maria has 3 years of planning and implementing health and wellness programs for children, adolescents, and adults in diverse communities.
Prior to being employed with Virginia Cooperative Etension, Maria worked 3 years for the Office of Equity and Inclusion at the University of Lynchburg planning and implementing programs for first year and first-generation students.
She then spent an extensive summer as an intern for the University of Georgia in Costa Rica providing awareness of water sanitation and Costa Rican sewage system and its effect on health and the environment.
Maria serves the counties of Lancaster, Northumberland, Richmond and Westmoreland and maintains an office in the Lancaster VCE offices.
