Trent Jones

Trent was born and raised on the Northern Neck of Virginia, and grew up working with his father on their row crop farm in Westmoreland County. Upon graduation from Washington and Lee High School in 2010, Trent attended Virginia Tech where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Crop Soil & Environmental Sciences, Agronomy, with a Minor in Wetland Sciences. After becoming employed with Virginia Cooperative Extension in 2014, serving as the Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent in Northumberland and Lancaster Counties, he went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Plant Science and Pest Management from Virginia Tech.

Prior to employment with Virginia Cooperative Extension, Trent spent four years working as the Assistant Farm Manager for Parker Farms in Leedstown, Virginia and as a lab assistant in the Virginia Tech Soybean Breeding Program laboratory.
